Just as the recent storm swept through the northwest the prior day, City overwhelmed United aside at the Etihad. It was a convincing 3-0 triumph for Andrée Jeglertz’s side due to goals from Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that clearly signaled their leadership claims as they reinforced their standing at the top of the table.

Successive Setbacks for Manchester United

This scoreline marked successive league setbacks for Skinner's side for the maiden instance since May 2024, putting them a sizable gap off the table toppers with their trophy ambitions hanging by a thread.
