The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party
Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, demons, and sinister influences growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of characters who will separate from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.
Casimir then cleared his obligations and fled to a secure base in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous place.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their position as key figures in the powerful family could assist the group access areas they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This means them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in quest for Casimir.
Future Episodes
According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Schemers tables.
Fans can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
